Investment firm buys Ramsey

New York investment company Weiss, Peck & Greer has bought Ramsey Industries, the parent company of Ramsey Winch and Auto Crane. The price was not disclosed. The new owner plans to use Ramsey as a platform for buying other companies in the sector.
