On 3 December the first of two antenna transporters for a European Space Agency project left the factory of special transport maker Scheuerle in Pfedelbach, Germany in the care of Kuebler Spedition.

The 36m long, 10m wide and 179t transporters were destined to Heilbronn, where they would go by barge, and then by sea vessel, to its final destination in Chile.

A construction site on the BAB A 6 road limited width to 5.75m. After several tests and track meetings with construction firms and government staff, street furniture was removed to let the loads pass.

Once arrived in Heilbronn, a Terex AC 650 telescopic crane from partner firm Scholpp lifted the transporter on to a heavy pontoon. Then the Kuebler low-loader returned to the factory to pick up the second one.
