Middle East Cranes 2010 will help you understand the lifting industry in the Gulf. You can now apply to attend, speak, or sponsor.

Business in the Middle East is always more complicated than the picture painted by the broad strokes of the general media. For example, for many years it has been a commonly accepted truth that “a quarter of the world's cranes are in Dubai”; a truth that has been debunked thoroughly by speakers at Middle East Cranes and by Cranes Today.

Now that some iconic projects have been postponed, the story you'll read everywhere is that the whole region is grinding to a halt. In fact, there are still plenty of business opportunities in the region: the problem is knowing how to access them. Middle East Cranes 2010, taking place at the Shangri La Hotel in Dubai on 23-24 February 2010, will give you the tools to do that.

Middle East Cranes gives you the opportunity to find out where the best opportunities are, to discover more about the most efficient tools for the contracts you want to win, and to meet two hundred of the most influential purchasers and suppliers in the lifting industry:

"After speaking at Middle East Cranes, I was asked for quotes on potential orders worth more than EUR2m." Carl Cooper, Compact Lifting

Knowing where to find the best jobs and the best equipment for the job is only part of the story. Whether you're working on an iconic tower with a worldwide profile, or an oil and gas job with strict safety demands and shutdown penalties, you need to know the best way to get the job done safely. Every year, speakers at Middle East Cranes include the world's leading lifting experts and standards body members.

"As a manufacturer’s representative, I appreciate the information on the market as well as the information on regulatory issues provided during the forum.Klaus Meissner, director of product integrity, Terex Cranes

Cranes Today and Middle East Cranes haven't taken a passive role in bringing together end users and safety experts. Since its launch, Middle East Cranes has been an active supporter of the regional Crane Safety Forum, set up by local lifting professionals to advise on and improve industry best practice.

"We are very grateful to the team at Cranes Today magazine. Cranes Safety Forum members have come a long way by identifying the problems the industry here faces; we have helped each other, and our associated companies and subcontractors, enormously with the expertise, advice and services we have provided, quite often to each other.Shata Mahdiyone, chairman, Crane Safety Forum
