New crawler from HSC

Japanese crane manufacturer Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes Co. (HSC) has launched the SCX2800A-3 crawler crane. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 275 tonnes.

The crane is powered with a new-generation Cummins L9 engine that complies with EU Stage V exhaust emissions regulations. Crane operation is via HSC’s control system; it includes an ECO winch mode and an auto idle stop function for greater energy efficiency gains.

To ensure that workers can safely work on the crane, handrails on the catwalks have been standardised and access to the machine has been improved.
