New crawlers from Kobelco

Japanese crane manufacturer Kobelco has launched three new crawler cranes as part of its G-4 series line: the CKE900G-4; CKE1350G-4; and CKE2500G-4.

Maximum lifting capacities are: for the CKE900G-4, 100 tonnes x 3.6 metres; for the CKE1350G-4, 150 tonnes at 4.4 metres; and for the CKE2500G-4, 250 tonnes at 4.6 metres.

All three cranes are equipped with EU Stage V compliant ISUZU engines.

The CKE 1350G-4 and CKE 2500G-4 are both powered by ISUZU 6UZ1 9.84l water-cooled,

inline six-cylinder direct injection and turbocharged engines, with 270kW/2,000 min-1 of rated power (the engine speed is set at 1,850 min-1 in power mode).

The CKE900G-4 has an ISUZU 6HK1 7.79-litre water-cooled, in-line six-cylinder direct

injection and turbocharged engine with a rated power of 210kW/1,900 min-1.

The cranes continue the same concept of previous G series models, says Kobelco. This means they use the same tried and tested technology providing a commonality for users plus the same ease of transportability.

They come with Kobelco’s traditional hydraulic control system, ML (Machine Learning) monitor, and eco G Mode functions (including G Winch, for higher speed without raising the engine speed, G Engine, for improved fuel consumption, and an Auto Idle Stop function).

They also have Kobelco’s KCROSS system, which transmits working conditions, locations, and maintenance history for advanced asset management.

The CKE1350G-4 and CKE2500G-4 have new cabins for improved visibility, functionality, and productivity. The new cabin design uses a structure without crossmembers, to provide greater visibility. For this end the wiper motor has been placed lower, too.

The cabin’s air-con now cools in the shortest ever time, while adjustments to the seat’s sliding width have also been made. Kobelco highlights that the cab’s sliding door can be opened and closed with a light touch, and that it has Bluetooth capabilities and a hands-free phone mount.

These CKE1350G-4 and CKE2500G-4 return to Kobelco’s line-up after a two-year period and will be available from 2024 onwards. The CKE900G-4 is already available.
