PAT acquires Compu-Crane

PAT America, supplier of mobile crane information and monitoring systems, has acquired Compu-Crane, manufacturer of lift planning and crane selection software.

Compu-Crane’s Crane Selection & Planning Software (CSPS) was developed by Earl Johnson III of Carolina Crane, Doug Williams of CP Buckner Steel Erection and Greg Buckner of North Carolina State University. Johnson and Williams set out to create a tool to help them run their companies, but Compu-Crane now needs the expertise and resources of a company like PAT to take it to the next level, they said.
