Potain shows luffer at Indian trade show

Wisconsin, USA-headquartered crane manufacturer Manitowoc is displaying one of its Potain luffing jib cranes, the Potain MCH 175, at the forthcoming EXCON 2023 construction equipment exhibition in India. The show is taking place at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, India, from 12 – 16^th December 2023 and it will be the first time that Manitowoc will have shown a luffing jib crane at this show.

According to Manitowoc, a standout feature of the MCH 175 its VVH hydraulic luffing technology for raising and lowering the jib. This feature moves the jib from 10° to 87° in less than two minutes, for faster work on site. The design also eliminates the need for luffing ropes, which saves on assembly time, says the company.
