A new self-propelled articulating boom from Genie Industries, the Z-20/8N, is only 800mm wide but can lift 440lbs (US)–200kg? to almost 8m with more than 2.4m of outreach.

Further up the range, the upgraded Z-45/22 models now have top speeds of 7.7kmh (ic engine, 4WD) and 5.6kmh (DC electric). Also available with 2WD, there are five power options and the ability to climb gradients of up to 40%.

A new scissor lift, the GS-2642, is already available in the USA and expected in the UK by April. With a 9.8m working height, it fits in the range above another new model, the GS-2032 (7.9m working height), that features a roll-out platform to increase the work area. Safety systems include a dual axis tilt sensor, pothole protection and an elevated drive speed interlock.
