UAE-headquartered crane and heavy haulage provider Al Faris has expanded its international presence with a new corporate office in Iraq.

The company said its local operation will support the industrial growth of the country. The fleet includes Liebherr cranes with capacities from 100t to 600t; heavy haulage equipment including hydraulic trailers, SPMT’s, semi-trailers and low-bed trailers; hydraulic gantries and skidding systems.

Al Faris said it has employed a team with vast local knowledge and global experience, headed by Alberto Pittaluga. “Mr. Alberto Pittaluga comes with immense industry knowledge, credibility and over 20+ years of experience in challenging regions including Iraq,” said Al Faris.

The company has already successfully completed projects in Iraq, at the West Qurna 1 and West Qurna 2 oil fields as well as in the port town of Al Faw.

“Apart from the quality of our equipment, we provide a strong commitment to investment in the development of HSE practices which is our focus across all our operations. Our safety, health and quality standards are well integrated in our daily work, training and all on-site jobs,” said Al Faris.

The family-owned business, founded in 1992, has over ten regional offices and a workforce of more than 3,200 employees, Al Faris currently operates across the MENA region, with the head office situated in Dubai and other corporate offices in UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Bahrain.
