Award for Goldhofer suspension system
13 October 2014A new axle system developed by transportation equipment specialist Goldhofer has won an industry award at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany.
The MPA Axle Technology is said to be the lightest independent suspension system available for trailers, and took the 2015 Trailer Innovation Award in the chassis category at the IAA trade show.
Stefan Fuchs, chief executive of Goldhofer, said: "[Our] development and design engineering departments have succeeded in adapting the well-known and proven MacPherson strut employed for automobiles for use with lowloaders and the needs of the heavy transportation industry."
