Frank Bardonaro, who joined crane builder Terex late last year from US rental leader AmQuip, has been promoted from managing director of Terex Cranes North America to managing director of global crane sales.

Bardonaro built a considerable profile within the rental industry as CEO of AmQuip, which he joined from Maxim in 2002, and as a vocal advocate for the rental industry within the US rental association, the SC&RA. He is currently a member of the SC&RA’s board of directors.

With his appointment to the newly created position with Terex Cranes, he will move to Europe. He will assume full commercial responsibility for the company’s complete range of mobile cranes, working in partnership with local distributors and Terex sales organizations worldwide.

Kevin Bradley, president of Terex Cranes, said, “Frank has already achieved much for our company during his first year with Terex. His impressive understanding of the cranes industry makes him the right person for this new position that will be focused on providing global, world-class customer service.”

With Bardonaro’s move to the new global sales position, Terex is also restructuring its North American business. Dan Slater, previously general manager of Terex Cranes North America operations, will assume the new role of general manager of Terex mobile cranes North America.
