Cropac’s major Terex order

Cropac Equipment has placed an order for 16 new Terex tower cranes.

The company has locations throughout Atlantic and Eastern Canada.

The order comprises units of the SK 415-20 hammerhead, CTT 472-20 flat top and CTL 272-18 luffing jib tower cranes.

The SK 415-20 has a maximum capacity of 20t (22USt), maximum jib length of 80m (262.4ft) and capacity at maximum length of 2.3t.

The 20t CTT 472-20 has eleven jib configurations (from 30– 80m) and can lift up to 4.48t at max jib length.  The control system ensures an easy and quick setup, and includes Terex’s ‘Power Plus’ feature. A new feature is T-Torque slewing, which is a new inverter technology with torque control applied directly to the slewing motors, giving the operator improved control over crane movements.

The CTL 272-18 luffing jib tower cranes, have a maximum capacity of 18t and a jib tip capacity of 2.9t at 61m with single line pull. “Multiple tower masts options, to leverage existing stock, easy setup, Power Plus and auto-levelling are all part of the CTL 272 product offer,” said Terex.
