UK tower crane hire firm Falcon Crane Hire has founded a new company, Anglian Mini Cranes, which will specialise in hiring mini cranes.

Anglian Mini Cranes has a fleet of 11 Maeda Mini Cranes available for hire with capacities from 995kg to 6t, spanning seven different Maeda Mini Crane model types. It will be based at Falcon’s Norfolk, UK premises,

Anglian Mini Cranes intends to add the eighth Maeda Mini Crane, the 2.93t LC383, to its range upon expansion of the business, and already has a number of high-profile clients, including international construction consultancy firm Carillion.

With a number of staff trained to operate compact cranes and accredited to CPCS A66, the firm says it has the full backing of the manufacturer and its UK distributor.

A spokesman for the new venture said: “These little cranes are proving their worth, and really come into their own when it comes to specialist lifting, from panelling and cladding, through the full spectrum of glass handling to restoration projects, specialist lifting applications or in restricted areas on domestic and construction sites.

“Their compact dimensions and ability to manoeuvre mean that in many lift situations they replace the need for much larger cranes.”
