Sim Lian Group is using two Liebherr 280 EC-B 12 Litronic flat top cranes for heavy lifting jobs at a public housing development in Singapore.

The project, overseen by the Housing Development Board, is located in Jurong Lake District, a new district designated by the Singapore government for residential and business use.

The residential building is being constructed by Sim Lian in a SGD88m project and comprises five 20-storey blocks, including 528 units, a multi-storey carpark and other communal facilities.

Rental company Ho Lee Machinery provided rigging support for the crane. Desmond Lee, planning and safety manager at Ho Lee, said: "Much of the construction is precast concrete, supplied by precast specialist Poh Cheong, which means heavy lifting duties for the cranes. The Liebherr 285 EC-B 12 cranes are ideal for these construction elements, and have the advantage of fast and easy erecting and dismantling."
