New 1550t Green Pin shackle
19 August 2020Green Pin, a Van Beest brand, has introduced size WLL 1550T for its flagship heavy lifting shackle The Power Sling Shackle.
The original Green Pin Power Sling Shackle BN was available with a working load range from 125t to 1250t and has now been extended to 1550t.
The Power Sling is equipped with six handling points to the body and several more on the pin, although larger sizes have more handling points than smaller sizes, making it easier and safer to lift the Power Sling into place.
The company stated that the areas that endure the highest stress have been reinforced and new shackle has a bending efficiency of 85% and has the widest shackle crown in the industry. Green pin further claimed that this will save, on average, 20% in wire or synthetic rope costs.
Every shackle is proofload tested to twice the working load limit and the long-term performance has been ascertained by subjecting the 1550T to 40,000 cycles.
