Last call for new orders before TransWorld open sources its technology. The company will now focus on offering design, engineering, and consulting services.

Las Vegas, USA-based TransWorld Manufacturing Company, which specialises in the production of high-quality equipment for the crane, lifting, and heavy haul industries, has announced the strategic decision to cease accepting new orders, complete production of current orders, and to open source its technology. The company will be repurposing its facility for another use and will focus on offering design, engineering, and consulting services to its clients.

The decision to cease taking orders comes as TransWorld Manufacturing embraces a new direction aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration within the heavy lift and heavy haul industry. To achieve this, TransWorld will be open sourcing its technology, making its entire portfolio of designs for spreader bars, lifting beams, outrigger mats, baskets, and boom dollies available to anyone for a small fee.

Through an upcoming online campaign, individuals and businesses will have an opportunity to download TransWorld's proven technology. This initiative reflects TransWorld's belief that the best use of technology is to share it with the world, enabling broader access to safe and reliable solutions while encouraging further development and improvement.

"We are excited to announce the transition towards open sourcing our technology for the heavy lift and heavy haul industry," said Crystal Dieleman, president of TransWorld Manufacturing. "By making our designs available, we aim to empower individuals and organisations with the tools they need to innovate and drive positive change within the industry.”

The link to access TransWorld's technology portfolio will be released soon, offering a unique opportunity for engineers, end-users, and industry professionals to acquire a wealth of intellectual property.

The company wants to assure customers that current orders will be fulfilled. After several years of searching for a new production facility, the company determined that the expenses involved in moving to another location would be prohibitively high. TransWorld has decided to focus on alternative strategies that will ensure a positive future for both the business and its valued customers. TransWorld remains in operation while it completes current production orders and will continue to support the large fleet of equipment in the field as well as warranty obligations after the production of new equipment ends.
