New interactive training station and instructor added to Morrow Training Centre

The new station features Liebherr's AC500 PLC system, which is used in the Litronic tower crane line. This system allows maintenance technicians, supervisors and operators to become familiar with the operation of the PLC's and drives in the system.

The station can offer live demonstrations of the main features of this state of the art system, such as work range limitation, heavy lifting capabilities, capacity reduction, data recording information and operator display screens.

The addition of this training equipment will provide high quality, real world training for everyone using tower cranes in the industry today, the company says.

The new staff member is Ian Chase, who will be on NCCCO preparatory training programs for tower crane operator, signalperson and rigger.

His background is from the construction industry with 24 years of experience as an operator, safety professional and certified construction safety and health trainer.
