Faymonville launches StreetMAX trailer in North America.

Luxembourg-headquartered trailer manufacturer Faymonville has launched the nine-axle double-drop StreetMAX trailer for the North American market. It is designed to enable users to transport high and heavy loads with an increased payload and manoeuvrability.

According to Faymonville, the double-drop configuration helps in states where axle load and height are strictly ruled and when the planned route is particularly winding, meaning it is necessary to limit the space requirements.

The hydraulically liftable and detachable gooseneck enables a continuous height adjustment and is designed to maximise safety during the loading process.

The trailer’s manoeuvrability is achieved thanks to the pendle-axle technology with 23’’ - 5/8 of stroke. The 9-axle trailer is king-pin steered with a steering angle up to 60 degrees.

Depending on the load that has to be transported, Faymonville says the operator benefits from the deck interchangeability between flat deck, perimeter deck and spine deck.

A three-axle jeep dolly can also be added under the gooseneck. This front part is able to support at least 100,000 lbs (45 tonnes). At the rear a three-axle bogie can be coupled with a three-axle booster so that the payload and the manoeuvrability increase due to those extra turning points.

If additional payload capacities are needed, a steerable one-axle (called a joker axle) can be added between the StreetMAX’s low bed and the rear bogie. It has the same technical characteristics than the other axles of rear bogie.

This StreetMAX complies with DOT requirements for North America, while its fully galvanised frame ensures the best corrosion protection available in the market.

The StreetMAX is available through US firm Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, which stocks all available Faymonville trailers, as well as customer service and after sales support.
