As of January 1, Tadano Demag UK Ltd will be integrated within Tadano UK Ltd, with the latter becoming the sole representative of the Tadano and Demag brands for the UK and Republic of Ireland markets.

“In the UK and Ireland businesses we have been taking steps to initially develop synergies within our sales and customer support functions, however it is soon time to formerly bring together both our businesses as one,” said Alec Bell, business leader for Tadano and Demag operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Tadano UK Ltd will be relocating from Tankersley, South Yorkshire to the existing Demag facilities in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. “Whilst our Tankersley facility will remain operational for a period of time during this transition, it is expected that activities currently being conducted out of Tankersley will be progressively relocated to Long Crendon, concluding towards the end of Q1 2021,” added Bell.

“This consolidation of our operations will provide an opportunity to further capitalize on synergies, improve our operational efficiency, and promises a more seamless product and business experience with Tadano moving forward. Throughout this process we are making every effort to secure both Tadano and Demag’s rich industry experience, in-depth knowledge, and proven processes in the UK & Ireland,” said Klaus Kröppel, vice president sales, Tadano Europe.

“From a customer service perspective, this means that going forward Tadano UK Ltd. will be able to deliver faster response times, improved availability of team members to help increase crane uptime, enhanced workshop and training facilities and ultimately make it easier for our customers to do business with Tadano.”

Bell added: “Throughout this transition, and moving forward, our focus will continue to be on best serving our customers’ equipment and business needs — to be the preferred choice when it comes to lifting equipment purchases and to deliver a superior level of support from Tadano UK Ltd.”
