Terex supplies Indian wind power projects

Terex will deliver eight CC 2400-1 crawler cranes to Sanghvi Movers hire company in Pune, India to work on a wind energy project.

The CC 2400-1 cranes, with lifting capacities of 400t, will be added to Sanghvi Movers’ previous order of 22 cranes.

Sanghvi Movers is the 9th largest crane hire company globally, with clients such as Tata and Siemens.

Its fleet of 360 includes telescopic and lattice boom tower cranes with lifting capacities ranging form 20–800t.

Some of these are intended for work on wind energy projects and additional power projects with capacities of 300 and 660 MW, while others will work on refineries.

The new eight CC 2400-1 crawler cranes will be manufactured at Terex Cranes’ Zweibrücken, Germany production facility.

For Terex, India’s growing wind-energy market is important. The CC 2400-1 cranes destined for India will be delivered in multiple shipments throughout 2011.
