Australia’s Tutt Bryant Group and Italy’s Fagioli have formed a 50:50 joint venture to provide ‘a new level of lift and shift capability in the Australian market’.

TBF Oceania Pty Ltd will operate out of Perth, Western Australia, and be able to fulfil contracts with requirements to lift and move loads up to 32,000t.

Fagioli is a specialist in heavy lifting operations and transportation, with experience in the global oil and gas industry. Tutt Bryant, part of Singapore-based Tat Hong Holdings Ltd, is a leading crane hire firm in Australia, as well as offering haulage and equipment services to the market.

Tutt Bryant said TBF will operate ‘at the very top of the industry’, and will be able to apply for major projects thanks to its engineering and technical resources. It has already applied, either to pre-qualify or as a full tender, for the Gorgon LNG, Gladstone LNG, Wheatstone and Impex projects.

“TBF will provide cranage from 20t to 1,350t, and platform trailers in excess of 1,650 axles,” said David Haynes, managing director of Tutt Bryant.

“Gantry systems from 450t to 1,400t, strand jacks up to 750t individual capacity and unlimited combined capacity will deliver real completive advantage as we tender for large resources projects. Fagioli recently achieved a world record lift of 32,000t using strand jacks.

“In addition, the JV will be able to offer 3,000t capacity tower lift systems plus 7,200t capacity jacking and skidding systems. The heavy haulage division will have over 30 prime movers and a fleet of various trailers ranging from flatbeds, low loaders and platforms,” Mr Haynes said.

Fabio Belli, CEO of the Fagioli Group, said: “Being able to tender for big projects by combining Fagioli’s global resources with Tutt Bryant’s proven track record in crane hire will enhance our prospects of success in relation to a number of important resources contracts.

“Furthermore the natural synergy and similar culture of both partners provides for an easy fit for the JV.”
