Ireland-based wind turbine erection specialist Windhoist has added two Liebherr LTM 1750 cranes to its fleet.

The first project for the new cranes took place at Strathy North Wind Farm in northern Scotland, erecting 33 Senvion MM82 turbines -- including lifting 42t rotor stars and 73t nacelles.

Joining a number of existing Liebherr cranes in Windhoist's fleet, the 1750s are rigged with the TYVEN configuration, 28m of luffer and 124t of ballast.
