RUD introduces hoist ring for heavy duty lifting

Manufacturer of lifting and lashing applications, RUD Chains, recently announced the introduction of its WBPG hoist ring for heavy duty lifting. WBPG can be supplied from 85t to 200t and the company stated that it is a product suitable for environments including heavy engineering, offshore, ship years and the construction industry.

Nine Wolffs rebuild Berlin's Leipziger Platz

Nine Wolffkran tower cranes are being used to construct a new shopping centre in Berlin, the company said earlier this week. The trolley jib tower cranes are being used for the lifting of steel girders, concrete components and formwork on the construction site.

The Spacelift MC 35000 DLS, a new mobile marine crane with 1500t lifting capacity, is now ready for operation following a successful test lift. The heavy lift offshore crane has been developed by Zwagerman International and is installed on the Conquest MB I, a vessel owned by Conquest Offshore BV.

Manitowoc signs crane engineering deal with Indian IT firm

Manitowoc has signed a deal with HCL, that will see the Indian IT services firm provide engineering services supporting the cranebuilder's design centres around the world, and new product development initiatives in emerging markets. The companies have built a global engineering centre in Pune, where Manitowoc currently builds some models of its Potain tower cranes.
