Leinefelde-Worbis, Germany-based construction machinery sales and rental firm Bode Bautechnik has bought a low-bed trailer X from Oppenau, Germany-headquartered manufacturer Doll. It is using the new trailer to deliver construction machinery.

The three-axle low-bed trailer allows the transport of machinery up to 3,700 mm high, staying under the legal four-metre limit – thus avoiding the need for expensive special permits. The trailer’s excavator trough is up to 900 mm wide and 550 mm deep, helping reduce overall transport height.

The trailer has a payload capacity of up to 45 tonnes and features Doll’s tera pendular axle which provides a 600 mm hub, maintaining ground clearance even on uneven terrain.

The trailer includes a hydraulically lowerable gooseneck for front loading and rear aluminium ramps for smaller machines.
Side loading is possible due to the low design.
A reversing camera improves rear visibility and enhances safety while an electronic assistance system displays parameters such as tyre pressure, weight distribution, load positioning, and the position of bead breaking cylinders on a seven-inch colour display.

Electronic track adjustment (EEP) automatically calculates correct steering angles after manual intervention.
The trailer features a sliding support frame to create a level loading area quickly, while the loading platform can be telescoped by up to 5,700 mm, enabling safe transport of long goods like sheet piles and steel beams.
