Crane manufacturer Raimondi’s Middle East division has reached a milestone reporting more than 100 cranes currently operating across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 100th crane, a Raimondi LR273 luffing jib crane, began work on a waterfront residential project in Dubai marking the first time this model has been installed in the UAE.

Alongside the LR273 two other Raimondi luffing jib cranes have also been deployed at the same site.

The company’s cranes are involved in a variety of projects around the country, including residential high-rises, commercial buildings, and major infrastructure developments.

Raimondi’s cranes are present in key urban areas in several Emirates, the company says, where it continues to support construction activity and contribute to ongoing building works.

“Reaching over 100 cranes in operation across the UAE, underscores the sustained growth dynamic of the Raimondi Group,” said Raimondi Group CEO Luigi Maggioni. “Further, this milestone also speaks to the company’s operational strength in one of the world’s most dynamic construction markets.”

Raimondi Middle East recently recorded another achievement with the operation of the region’s highest climbed crane, an LR213, which reached a height of 322m under the management of the company’s operations team.

Raimondi intends to further strengthen its presence in the region by enhancing service capabilities and expanding operations, building on its current growth and the experience gained from these recent deployments.

Raimondi Middle East general manager Wael Hasan said: “Raimondi’s comprehensive range of flat-top and luffing jib cranes continues to demonstrate excellent performance in high density urban environments and on many technically-complex GCC jobsites.”

In February, Irish Crane & Lifting installed two Raimondi flat-top tower cranes for a healthcare expansion project in Ireland.
