UK-based Blade Lifting and Logistics has entered into a multi-unit purchase agreement with Böcker UK for truck cranes, with the first unit, the Böcker AK 48, now delivered to the company.
The Böcker AK 48 model is designed to handle payloads up to 3t, with an optional capacity of 6t, and features an extension length of up to 49m.
The crane is equipped with a hydraulic system enabling rapid assembly, a hook speed of 60m per minute (m/min), and a high working speed.
“With a passion for service excellence, it is vital that Blade Lifting equipment consistently delivers in-line with expectations,” said Blade Lifting and Logistics managing director Ross Wickens.
“Having researched the market, we quickly identified Böcker as a leader in this product category. Following our visit to their production facility in Germany, and meeting the people behind the business, it was clear our visions were aligned from the start.
“Safety, efficiency, and reliability are crucial for our lifting operations, so we are delighted to introduce Böcker into the Blade fleet of equipment. We would also like to offer our sincere thanks to Jake McCaugherty of Böcker UK for his support and facilitating the deal.”
Further deliveries of Böcker cranes to Blade Lifting are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
The company intends to utilise the equipment to offer lifting solutions to clients across the UK.
Böcker UK is the British subsidiary of Böcker Maschinenwerke, a German company based in Werne.
Böcker Maschinenwerke has expanded over time from a small forging business to an international engineering company with a workforce of over 400 employees.
The organisation states its ongoing commitment to producing products in Germany and to its business traditions.
In July 2026, two Böcker AK 48 truck cranes were used at the Münster Waste Management depot in Münster, Germany, to support the removal of a wind turbine from a workshop chimney.
