US-based project logistics and heavy haul transportation company Gulf of America Logistics (GoAL) has announced a new office in Baton Rouge, marking its fourth location throughout Louisiana.
The company also named Jake Minner as vice president (VP) of operations for Specialized Transport and Trucking.
Minner arrives with 17 years in the heavy-haul sector and will oversee asset-based heavy-haul services from the Baton Rouge branch.
The logistics firm maintains offices in Bossier City, Lafayette, and Rayville, each serving a separate industrial zone.
Bossier City operates as the firm’s headquarters, Lafayette manages Gulf Coast and offshore logistics, while Rayville covers Northeast Louisiana industrial services.
GoAL CEO and co-owner Brent Patterson said: “Jake has spent nearly two decades doing specialised transport in this state – he knows these roads, these routes, and these clients. That kind of embedded expertise is exactly what GoAL is built on.”
Recently, GoAL began securing port access in Cameron Parish, close to the Sabine Pass and Cameron LNG terminals.
The company has established exclusive trucking agreements across the Gulf Coast, providing direct asset control during a period when regional equipment availability is tightening.
This growth follows an increase in activity among out-of-state logistics companies seeking joint ventures within Louisiana.
Patterson added: “Louisiana’s industrial market is the hottest in North America. We saw a gap where out-of-state firms were winning big contracts while local businesses weren’t seeing the full benefit. Our mission is to close that gap permanently.
“We are a Louisiana company, hiring Louisiana people, to serve Louisiana projects. No global parent company, no divided loyalties, and no offshore profits.”
Founded in 2025 by Brent Patterson, a former US Navy logistics officer and previous Blue Water Shipping senior vice president, and Rock Bordelon, a local entrepreneur involved in numerous businesses, GoAL keeps all decision-making, investment, and employment within Louisiana.
