German crane rental company Buller Krane has increased its fleet of all-terrain cranes with the addition of a new Grove GMK5120L, which the company acquired through the KranAgentur Werner dealership.
The crane, now in use across construction and industrial projects, supports Buller Krane’s operational expansion in Germany.
The GMK5120L model is configured to provide multiple axle load options, allowing owners to adjust counterweight loads to meet transport requirements.
It can move with a 14.6t counterweight under a 12t axle load or a 3.1t counterweight while meeting a 10t axle load. This flexibility helps facilitate transport planning and operational deployment.
Buller Krane selected several extra features for its GMK5120L, including a 16m hydraulic bi-fold swingaway jib, the MAXbase system for variable outrigger positioning, and additional LED working lights for the crane’s operating area.
Buller Krane managing director Tobias Buller visited the Manitowoc factory in Wilhelmshaven to collect the new crane.
Buller said: “We regularly take the opportunity to receive cranes in Wilhelmshaven and also visit the factory to see the latest developments.
“Like Buller Krane, Manitowoc has a dynamic approach to innovation, and we are excited to continue our partnership. The GMK5120L is a high-performance crane with powerful features and is perfect for our day-to-day operations.”
Manitowoc’s mobile service team operates nationwide in Germany and from a centre in Langenfeld to provide technical support.
Buller Krane is based in Gelsenkirchen, with further sites in Greven and Duisburg. It operates a variety of cranes from Grove’s four-axle, five-axle, and six-axle product families.
The GMK5120L represents the latest addition to Buller Krane’s portfolio, enabling the company to maintain access to updated crane technology for evolving worksite needs.
