Manitowoc Cranes has named Ingo Schiller as EVP for its Manitowoc Crane Care customer support division, replacing Robert Hund. The company also announced that Raman Joshi is to head Manitowoc Cranes’ operations in the Greater Asia-Pacific (GAP) region.

The manufacturer said that Schiller would continue with his current responsibilities as senior vice president of global marketing and product development on an interim basis.

Speaking of his intentions in his new role Schiller said: "I believe that with our parts delivery program, 24/7 contact centers and highly skilled service staff we have one of the best offerings in the business, yet we're conscious of the fact our industry is changing and we have to evolve as our business grows. I want us to continue to expand our EnCORE refurbishment operation to more international markets, and continue to assess the latest technology to see how best we can provide a service that outperforms the competition."

Raman Joshi takes over as executive vice president of GAP (which covers most of Asia and Australasia, but excludes China) from Gilles Martin, who has left the company to pursue other interests. Joshi's most recent role was vice president of Manitowoc Cranes India in which he looked after the company's factory for Potain tower cranes in Pune, as well as its sales offices and network of local dealers. Joshi will continue to be based in India, but will also spend time at Manitowoc's regional headquarters in Singapore.

Describing the challenges ahead Joshi said: "India has been an exciting market to work in for the past five years and it will continue to occupy a large amount of my time as I continue my duties there. But I'm also looking forward to re-introducing myself to our customers and dealers across the rest of Asia, and in Australia and New Zealand. This part of the world offers such a diverse range of customers and industries, with so many varied needs that every day will be a challenge."
