Jekko in collaboration with Dennis Shin and Lee Hyun Soo is setting up a new company, Jekko Korea, in Seoul.

Jekko said Shin and Hyun Soo have many years of experience and deep knowledge in the rental field.

Alberto Franceschini, sales manager at Jekko, told Cranes Today that the company decided to enter this market because of its strong growth. He added that Jekko sees great opportunities in the country’s construction sector over the next ten years.

“It is really important for us to get to work in the richest and most dynamic countries in Asia, such as South Korea,” he said.

Eight mini cranes are to be delivered in the country next year, among which will be SPX312, SPX424, SPX527 and SPX1040 models including manipulators and jibs.

Jekko Korea’s plan for the next five years is to become one of the top three crane brands in the market through developing an excellent service and sales channel.

Franceschini said the company could take advantage of the manufacturing and designing differences between them and their competitors.

He highlighted that there could also be demand for Jekko Minicranes in other Asian countries such as Singapore, China and Hong Kong.
