Bad Kreuznach, Germany-headquartered transport and lifting company Bott Group has taken delivery of its 30th Grove mobile crane: a 250-tonne capacity GMK5250XL-1 all terrain.

The crane was handed over at the Grove’s Wilhelmshaven plant and is now based at the Bott Group’s headquarters.

According to Manitowoc, manufacturer of Grove cranes, the Bott Group has a large all-terrain fleet consists primarily of Grove GMK models.

The investment was made possible through the successful resale of an older crane via KranAgentur Werner.
The new GMK5250XL-1 has a hydraulic bi-fold swing-away jib, a VIAB turbo retarder clutch designed for smooth, wear-free starts, a BirdView 270° camera system and boom head camera for optimal visibility.

Bott bought its first crane in 2001. Today, the Bott Group employs around 120 people across three locations and handles projects up to the 450-tonne class.
