ATS Cranes, a lifting and transport company based in Luxembourg, has added a new Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane to its fleet, replacing a ten-year-old LTM 1200-5.1.
The introduction of the 230t capacity, five-axle crane marks the latest stage in the company’s ongoing fleet renewal programme.
The Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 features a 75m telescopic boom.
According to ATS, the crane also includes the VarioBase system, a technology designed to allow high lifting capacities even when working in confined areas and to offer additional performance reserves in the rear operating zone.
ATS managing director Frédéric Kleinhans stated that the selection of the new crane followed a comparison of several manufacturers.
Kleinhans said: “We compared various manufacturers and once again opted for Liebherr based on the overall package of quality, price and service. We were very satisfied with the previous model for many years – for us the LTM 1230-5.1 is the logical next step.
“The combination of a long telescopic boom and a double-folding jib significantly increases the crane’s flexibility. This enables us to carry out a wide variety of jobs – from traditional construction sites and industrial projects to assembly work – cost-effectively.”
The company has marked the arrival of the LTM 1230-5.1 with a special paint scheme in the colours of the Luxembourg flag, marking the company’s upcoming 25th anniversary.
ATS Cranes currently operates a fleet of 14 machines, mainly Liebherr models, and employs 25 people.
The firm, which has provided lifting technology and transport services since 2002, operates round the clock and covers a range of applications in the sector.
