Italian compact crane specialist BGLift has launched a material handling transporter: the Cocco 50 Transporter. It launched the transporter at Italian trade show GIS.
The Cocco 50 Transporter is radio-controlled and comprises of a tracked undercarriage and a mobile platform that can adjust in height and tilt independently: up to about 8° transversely and 5° longitudinally.
The mechanism that moves the platform is based on three support points. This, says BGLift, simplifies mechanics while ensuring great precision, supported by next-generation sensors developed by BGLift.
The hydraulic system allows the machine to both travel on slopes, due to a 105 kW engine, and power any hydraulic equipment mounted on the platform, making the machine versatile.
“We wanted a machine that was not just a transporter, but a platform capable of becoming the core of many different applications,” comments BGLift’s prototype manager and lead engineer, Roberto Marinoni, who headed the project. “We are convinced we have found a truly innovative solution compared to what the market currently offers. Cocco 50 is designed to transport anything and host different equipment, while always ensuring precision, stability, and safety.”
Fabio Di Minico, head of BGLift’s technical office, highlights that the project required in-depth work on defining safety parameters and risk analysis, to guarantee that every operating condition could be properly managed. The technical team also faced the challenge of designing a machine able to adapt to very different use scenarios while maintaining consistent and reliable performance. “The real challenge was combining versatility with safety,” explains Di Minico. “Every work configuration involves different loads and conditions, and Cocco 50 has been designed to handle them all without compromise.”
“We carefully studied the market and listened to customers’ real needs,” adds Michele Piantoni, head of after-sales. “This helped us understand where existing solutions were not enough, and to collaborate with the technical team to transform these needs into a concrete project. Cocco 50 was born as the result of a shared vision between sales, after-sales, and engineering, capable of delivering performance and safety without compromise.”

Maurizio Piantoni, CEO of BGLift, comments: “GIS is the ideal occasion for us to present another important innovation: the Cocco 50 Transporter. This launch comes in a particularly eventful year for BGLift, in which we already introduced the M100 (in both combustion and electric versions), the M400 electric, and the T4000 truck-mounted. Our top priority remains innovation: to provide customers with increasingly versatile and technologically advanced solutions, designed to work in synergy with our compact cranes and make handling more efficient and safe.”
With Cocco 50, BGLift says it renews its commitment to innovation, creating solutions that simplify work in increasingly complex environments. This machine represents another step in the company’s strategy to offer a complete and integrated range of products for lifting and handling.
