Cavotec’s new MC-3-6 EX ATEX compliant remote
The device is aimed at large applications, and features 34 digital and 32 analogue functions. Cavotec designed the device with twin battery compartments, meaning that batteries can be ‘hot swapped’ during operations, removing the need to stop and restart when batteries fail.
The remote control is built around an anti-static case, with the option of having the controls custom-made to fit specific requirements. The terminal is ergonomically designed, allowing the operator to rest their arms on the terminal and spread the load to a padded waist belt, enabling long uninterrupted operation. It features a 4×20 line display, which is angled to give operators a clear view.
The device is suitable for use on a wide variety of BUS systems, including Ether Net, ProfiBus, CANOpen and Device Net. Both the remote and its receiver are static sealed, and approved for use in explosive environments. They can also be connected by cable where needed.
