TII delivered the 1,000th Kamag, a K24, to Sarens. The company said that in recent years, Sarens has been investing heavily in the expansion of its modular transporter fleet.

Sarens placed an initial order for a total of four platform elevating transporters complete with hydrostatic drive back in 1985. In 1989, this was followed by the first order for two four-axle modular transporters which proved themselves to be a flexible and powerful transport system during operations. This resulted in a continuous expansion of the modular transporter fleet in the following years.

The K24 modular transporter from Kamag is used for moving large industrial installations, transportation of complete bridges or other large components. Loads can reach up to 15,000t.

TII Group’s SPMT specialists Scheuerle celebrated its 30th anniversary, with Mammoet, close collaborators on the development of the SPMT concept, returning one of their first transporters to the Scheuerle factory in Pfedelbach. TII said that is felt no other transport vehicle has revolutionized the world of heavy transport like Scheuerle’s SPMT. It went on to say that even the product name SPMT was the result of joint considerations between Mammoet and Scheuerle.

The company said that Mammoet had played a major role in initiating the SPMT in its support of the technology and regular purchases. Worldwide, more than 8,000 SPMT axle lines from Scheuerle are in regular use.
