Joseph L Edwards Jr, Shayne Olson, Robert D Becker and Thomas J Freda had all made claims for damages for post-traumatic stress disorder which they claim to suffer as a result of the accident. With a court case due in Milwaukee County Circuit Court within weeks, the four have settled with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of America for an undisclosed sum.
Edwards and Olsen both operated other cranes on the site at the time of the accident. Becker spoke to the three men killed shortly before they died, and Freda watched the crane collapse from the roof of the part-built stadium.
