SafeWork SA graduate officer Dennis Zhou told Cranes Today: “The incident in which four people were injured was incorrectly reported as a crane accident, due to the fact that cranes were on the site at the time.”
He added: “The incident actually involved the collapse of a steel structure, which was under construction, and no cranes were directly involved.”
An investigation has been launched.
SafeWork SA said its primary role is to promote and encourage safe, fair and productive working lives in South Australia.
