Heavy load and specialised transport equipment manufacturer Faymonville Group has reached an agreement to acquire majority shares of Morello, a global company based in Turin, Northern Italy. Faymonville says this strategic decision enables it to expand its range of self-propelled solutions for intralogistics missions.

Morello is a manufacturer of battery driven electric heavy load transport vehicles designed to move heavy industrial loads within the perimeters of industrial plants. Its vehicles are used worldwide. The electric vehicles are used to transport heavy equipment or semi-finished goods, with payload capacities starting from 5 tonnes.

“We are proud and grateful that our technology will become part of the strong offer of the family-owned Faymonville Group,” declares Amedeo Morello, representing the family, about this important step for the company. “With 80 years of market experience, the Morello name will be maintained and is looking forward to a promising future.”

By acquiring Morello, the Faymonville Group expands its product range of self-propelled vehicles for lighter load classes, optionally equipped with AGV systems, particularly for intralogistics applications and industrial plants. Together with the existing Eco500 and Eco1000 series by Cometto, Morello vehicles now cover a range of transport solutions in this field, serving industries such as railway, steel production, the energy sector, nuclear facilities, defence, and many more.

Faymonville says the battery driven electric engines of the Morello vehicles integrates perfectly in its existing strategy responding to the increasing demand for emission-free and low-noise working.
