Terex has sold its 80t Crossover 8000 boom truck into Canada for the first time.

Ontario-based Canadian Professional Crane purchased the crane through Terex distributor Cropac Equipment.

The 8000 model combines the design of a truck crane with that of a boom crane, providing 360° load capacity ahead of any other boom truck in North America, says Terex.

The crane's superstructure is mounted on a 2014 Freightliner 114SD chassis, with a 38m fully-powered four-section boom with a quick-reeve boom head and a 10-17m offset jib. It also features an X-pattern outrigger design which eliminates the need for a front stabiliser jack, decreasing overall crane length and weight.

CP Crane owner Aram Malek said: "Thanks to the crane's capacity and boom length, CP Crane is able to take on more jobs. The additional capacity and the compact footprint allows us to lift massive loads in tight areas, giving us an edge over our competitors."
