The first model of Chinese crane manufacturer XCMG’s XCA60_EV – a 60-tonne, three-axle hybrid all terrain – has arrived at the Port of Bristol in the UK.

XCMG says it has received strong interest in the XCA60-EV from leading UK and European rental companies. Mammoet and Sarens, two of the most well-known names in the industry, have already shared on their social media platforms that they will be working with XCMG soon. These partnerships are currently in progress, says XCMG, and more units are being scheduled for production.
The crane was shipped directly from XCMG’s production base in China. Depending on the customer’s location XCMG says it can also arrange delivery through UK logistics channels.

Delivery times to the UK or Europe are normally around three months for production after an order is confirmed. Then shipping to the UK or Europe takes around one to two months, so overall delivery is about four to five months from the time of order.
When it comes to servicing, XCMG says it provides flexible service options depending on the issue. For example, for regular maintenance or small repairs its local service teams in UK can visit the customer’s site; for more serious problems it can arrange factory-level support or send technicians for on-site service. XCMG says its goal is to make sure its customers always receive fast, reliable after-sales support.
Once the crane has been delivered XCMG then provides training. Its service manager and product manager will go to the customer’s site to provide on-site training although, if the customer needs more in-depth knowledge, it can also arrange training at its European HQ or even at its headquarters in China.
