Odense, Denmark-headquartered supplier of lifting gear, cranes, and related equipment, Fyns Kran Udstyr, has acquired Ängelholm, Sweden-based company Cranemech, which specialises in the service, assembly, repairs, modernisation and sales of industrial lifting equipment from different manufacturers.
According to Fyns Kran Udstyr, the acquisition is the first step becoming a major player in the Scandinavian lifting equipment supply market and is its first internationally-anchored base.
Fyns Kran Udstyr said the partnership with Cranemech will provide it with a local presence in Sweden, enabling it to offering the Sedish market products like EasyCert, an online certificate management system, which it already sells in Denmark.
Both Cranemech and Fyns Kran Udstyr will continue to run business as usual, with both companies having their own local management and their own suppliers and partners. Due to the new partnership, however, Cranemech has been able to expand and recently signed an agreement for a larger warehouse and office near its existing site, as the company´s growth has created a need for more space.
Also, as part of Fyns Kran Udstyr, Cranemech’s logo will be slightly modified with the addition of the hook from Fyns Kran Udstyr’s logo.
Fyns Kran Udstyr’s online platform wedolifting.se remains the same and will also become Cranemech’s official website.
“It’s a dream come true,” says Carsten Møller Sørensen, CEO at Fyns Kran Udstyr. “In Cranemech we have found the perfect match; we share the same values and have the same company DNA as well as strategies and focus on delivering high customer service. We look very much forward to collaborate with our new Swedish colleagues.”
Martin Nilsson, CEO of Cranemech, added, “We are also very pleased with our partnership with Fyns Kran Udstyr and look forward to be part of a strong brand and a bigger ‘family’ in the business for lifting equipment, cranes and service.”
