DEMAG Gottwald has been awarded two contracts to supply HMK mobile harbour cranes to WR Operadores Portuários Ltda and to Cargolink Armazéns de Cargas Ltda, both located in the Port of São Francisco do Sul, Brazil.

WR Operadores Portuários has purchased an HMK 300 E diesel-electrically operated 100t harbour mobile for handling containers, bulk and general cargo at its facilities in São Francisco do Sul, which is 750km southwest of São Paulo. According to Gottwald no mobile harbour crane in Brazil today has a higher capacity curve than the HMK 300E.

Cargolink has also placed an order for an HMK 300 E to handle the complete range of cargo. This crane has now left Gottwald’s factory in Düsseldorf, Germany for Brazil.

The new two orders bring to seven the total number of Gottwald HMKs in Brazil. It has previously supplied five HMK 280 E cranes to Tecon Rio Grande, Sepetiba Tecon and Rio Cubatao. The HMK 280 E, also rated at 100t, is the predecessor of the HMK 300 E and, according to Gottwald, the best-selling mobile harbour crane in South America.
