The former managing director of Demag Cranes and Components, Harald Joos, becomes the CEO of the new entity, Demag Cranes AG. The former managing director of Gottwald Port Technology, Dirk Kiessling, becomes the chief financial officer (CFO) of the group.

The former chief technical officer of Gottwald, Mathias Dobner, becomes the executive director of Demag’s new Port Technology group. Thomas Zipse, formerly chief operations officer, is the new executive director of Demag’s Industrial Cranes division.

Harald Joos is named as the executive director of the company’s third branch, factory crane services.

The companies were formerly majority-owned by US-based venture capital firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) following being hived off from Mannesmann Dematic in 2000.

Demag Cranes stock traded on the Prime Standard part of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange has risen to Eur 26.50 from a launch price of Eur 22 per share in June.
