Hiab, the loader crane business in Partek’s load handling business division, will next year close its factory in Lem, Denmark and the Danish office in Humblebaek and concentrate production of light cranes at its plant in Meppel, Netherlands.
A total of 50 people work at the two locations in Denmark.
The other factories in Hudiksvall, Sweden and Zaragoza, Spain are unaffected.
Hiab described the move as an efficiency measure and part of a consolidation of operations.
