Wayne Lawson, JLG’s managing director for the EMEA region, said, “It was a difficult decision to step away from Intermat. However, during this period of market stagnation, we believe the right decision is to focus our limited resources on activities which directly support our customers such as technical support, field service, training and online services.”
JLG has recently launched a fluid analysis programme for its North American customers to extend the service life of its products, maximise equipment reliability and increase resale value. Test packages are available for engine oils, coolants, non-engine oils and hydraulic systems. The analysis service forms part of its extended warranty programme, but can also be carried out separately to “maximise uptime” of its equipment.
Terex has also said it is not exhibiting at Intermat after saying it would focus its attention on shows that are “managed by global trade associations, where the revenue generated is used to promote the overall interests of the industry”
