Kato Cranes (UK), a subsidiary of Svedala of Sweden, and the UK distributor for Kato and Marchetti mobile cranes, has added Shuttlelift industrial carrydeck cranes to its offerings to the UK market. Two models of the US-built pick and carry crane are on offer: the 3330 and the 5550.
The 3330 has a rated capacity of 7t on outriggers and has a four-section boom which reaches 7.5m, or further with a 2.4m fly jib. It can carry loads up to 6.35t on its deck.
The 5550 model lifts a maximum 13.6t and can carry loads up to 9t on its deck. The standard boom reaches 11.5m, though a 5550 RT version is available with a 15.4m boom.
Kato Cranes (UK)’s first customer for a Shuttlelift carrydeck crane was the Lindsey oil refinery in northeast England.
