Kiewit & Sons of the USA placed an order for six large crawler cranes with Demag Mobile Cranes at Bauma.
The machines will be delivered over the course of the next 12 months to Kiewit’s facility in Corpus Christie, Texas. The cranes will be used in the construction of oil platforms and other large projects.
The order includes four CC 2500s, rated at 450t (500 US ton) and two CC 2800s, with a capacity rating of 600t (660 US ton).
Neal Ferry, corporate equipment manager for Kiewit & Sons, explained: “We have decided to purchase Demag crawler cranes because of the excellent capabilities of the machines and Demag’s commitment to product support.”
