Newton Abbot, UK-based crane hire firm Spence Crane Hire took delivery of four Liebherr all terrain cranes in 2025. These comprised: two twin-axle LTM 1040-2.1s, an LTM 1060-3.1, and an LTM 1090-4.2.

It also placed orders for four more cranes: an LTM 1060-3.1, an LTM 1040-2.1, plus the new LTM 1055-3.3 and an LTM 1150-5.4.

“We have had a good working relationship with Liebherr over the years, having purchased 30 plus cranes,” said John Spence, director of Spence Crane Hire. “Liebherr cranes are exceptional on site for us due to it often being a tight setup. The VarioBase® system really does make a big difference. We are very pleased with the product Liebherr has supplied so far and we intend to keep investing in our fleet on a regular basis. This will ensure we can supply the best and most up-to-date cranes and service to meet our customers’ needs.”
