Latest development in load-force technology from Swiss manufacturer Magtrol is the LU Series load measuring pin.
“Based on the well-known, highly accurate and reliable strain-gauge technology with full temperature compensation, this load pin is presenting a new integrated amplifier concept,” Magtrol said.
The compact design provides an amplified 0-10V signal output directly from the sensor, proportional to the load. An integrated electronic board has been designed to answer electromagnetic compatibility and immunity (EMC/EMI) requirements. These new built-in features alleviate problems linked with external amplifier connections, Magtrol claims.
The LU Series load pin is available in 10 standard capacities from 2.5kN to 1250kN with special versions up to 2500kN. Made of high resistance stainless steel, the LU load pin is available with standard options including lubrication and output connector type. Special options include an IP 68 protection grade and OIML weight and measurement certification.
For extreme environmental applications, Magtrol is also offering special test certificates including sharpy-hardness test, ultrasonic, magnetoscopic and real under load tests, all of which are certified by accredited laboratories.
