Linden Comansa Cranes of Eastern Canada Ltd has been established as eastern Canadian distributor of Comansa tower cranes.
The new company is a joint venture between a Montréal-based formwork contractor and North American master distributor Linden Comansa America (LCA). LCA is itself a joint venture between the Spanish crane manufacturer Comansa and US service company Heede Southeast.
Linden-Comansa Cranes of Eastern Canada will cover Ontario, Québec and the Maritimes regions. The company was created with an aim of making sales, rental, promotion, erection, spare parts, maintenance and technical support of Linden Comansa’s products.
LCA said that it planned to provide a network of local dealers and/or direct sales and service to end user of tower cranes all over North America.
Investment in tower cranes in Canada has been low since the the construction booms associated with the International EXPO 67 exhibition in 1967and the Montréal Olympic Games in 1976. Frequent mechanical breaking from usage of growing old machinery is now a frequent event in the tower crane business, according to LCA.
